Many Clients ask me how long I've been doing this and how I got started. Here is my story.......
In 1994, I took a cake decorating class to have a new hobby. It was a class that met two hours twice per week for four weeks. During week three, I made my first cake, which was a wedding cake for a friend. I had no idea how much that one wedding cake would change my life. Word got around that I was making cakes. People began to call for cakes, and my hobby quickly grew into a business. The decision was made to open Adams Cakes & Catering. After much searching for the right place, a rural shop with hours by appointment only was the right thing to do. This gives me to opportunity to give all my attention to each creation rather than being a mass production operation. Due to the use quality ingredients and baked fresh goodness, a limited number of cakes and catering engagements can be booked each week. To sound much like a cliché, it has been an amazing and interesting journey for the past seventeen years. I have met many interesting people, some that I'm proud to say have become my friends and supporters. Thanks to all who have been my test subjects when I say those famous words "I've got this new thing I want to try" Most of all, I thank God that he gave me the ability to have a career that I love. I can't wait to see what He has in store for the next 17 years!
