About Payment Due Dates: Please check your contract and read it carefully! Contracts state that if balances are not paid by the due date, goods and services will not be delivered. There are no exceptions!
How much is a three tier cake? It depends on the size. Do you need a three tier cake to serve 50, or a three tier cake to serve 150? We design cakes around the number of people you need to serve.
What is the cost of a cake? The price depends on the type of icing used and the amount of detail on the cake.
Is
it cheaper to get part of the cake made from styrofoam?
Whether you purchase cake or styrofoam, the cost is the
same. It takes the same amount of time and icing to decorate styrofoam as
it takes to decorate a real piece of cake. Therefore, there is no discount
price.
Do you charge for delivery? Wedding and Anniversary cakes have no delivery charge.
What is a "full catered event"? A full catered event is an event that Adams Cakes & Catering provides all the food, plates, cups, silverware, staff to keep the food replenished on the tables, set-up and clean-up of the food tables.
If my event is a full catered event, can I make my food or cake or get them from someone else? If Adams Cakes and Catering is providing full catering, no food or cake can be brought in from outside sources. (A great example is this......restaurants will not allow you to bring in trays of food to be served on their salad bar. We are no different. According to health codes, we can't allow outside food at our events)
Do you provide servers to cut cake? Servers to cut cake are available for full catered events. There is a charge of $75 per server per event.
All about licensing laws. Due to copyright laws we can not draw, make a replica, or slight resemblance of licensed products. Some of these are: College logos, movie, tv or cartoon characters, tractors, guns, and professional sports. There are many more licensed items, too many to mention here. If it is sold, most likely it is licensed. There are some who think a change the color scheme by reversing colors that it is not a violation of copyright. This is not the case. If the item can be recognized as the licensed item it is supposed to be, it is in violation. Fines for such violations can run as much as $50,000! I love my shop and will not risk losing it over a cake. If you order a plain cake from me, you can take that cake to your event and add anything you choose to it and it is not in violation.
Health Inspections Adams Cakes & Catering is licensed and inspected by the Blount County Health Department. We currently have a rating of 100.
Cake Tasting Adams Cakes & Catering is licensed as a caterer. We are not allowed to serve food in the shop. For tasting, you are given a 5 inch vanilla and a 5 inch chocolate cake to take home with you. These cakes are free. Other flavors are available for a fee.
